1. Why consistency is connected to simplicity

The reason it's so hard for us to be consistent in our life, that could be nutrition, exercise, sleep, romance, etc. and work, that could be our marketing, productivity, lead conversion, etc…

is making things too complicated.

To be more consistent, we need to do things that are sustainable.

And to be sustainable it has to be simple.

We can't live in complexity for very long.

The more complex, the harder being consistent will be.

To be consistent we need to simplify.

How To Start Being More Consistent: Keep It Simple & 3 Keys To Consistency

The 3 Keys To Consistency in your life and work

  1. Look for sustainable

  2. Simplify everything

  3. Season sparingly

You want to be consistent if you start something, right? So how can you be more consistent?

Is it to start being more disciplined?

Is it to start being more focused?

When I started the http://dailyshowup.com, a daily live stream and daily podcast for real estate agents, I wanted to be consistent with it.

I didn't want to start and stop after 10 episodes.

Creating a daily podcast is complicated and it takes a lot of time on the post-production process...

You have everything you need

You need to organize the materials needed. Then It will take you a couple of hours to record it.

I want to show up but how do I do that in the most sustainable, consistent way?

How can you sustain showing up? Not just only for a week, a month, but for a longer period of time. My mindset was to start with being more consistent before I even started. I knew how important consistency would be to the process. I saw a lot of people STOP showing up and keep frozen.

Being consistent means showing up every day or most days. Consistency is about showing up when you don't feel like it. You can't always rely on inspiration for your consistency.

And of course, there are going to be days where you don't feel like doing it, you're too tired, there is just resistance to sticking your goals and commitments.

So how can you be more consistent and stay motivated when things get boring or tough?

The main thing is if you want to be more consistent, is keep it simple.
